Birdland: The Jazz Corner of the World is another popular jazz book by author Leo T. Sullivan.

Birdland was a legendary jazz nightclub in New York City named after Charlie (Bird) Parker. On a nightly basis, Birdland showcased the greatest jazz music and musicians in the world, from 1949 to 1965. The club was know for it’s double and triple bills, usually lasting until dawn, and established itself as the one place that every jazz musician had to play – such as Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson, Art Tatum, to name a few. Birdland is an illustrated book including vintage jazz photos, capsule biographies, and rare memorabilia.
